Pole Battle Tricks is a unique competition in the Pole Dancing Community where a pair of pole dancers fights each other for the best position that are free to express themselves and their own unique style through out different combos of pole tricks. It combines pole acrobatics with free style dancing and encourages creativity and individuality.
Our goal is to introduce pole dance and pole acrobatics into mainstream dance and sports around the World, positioning it as a new sport – promoting healthy lifestyle. One of our main objectives is to bring together dancers, athletes, acrobats and pole fitness into a single sport and dance that promotes new sports around the World – pole dance and pole acrobatics.
Our wish is to put on a wonderful show by demonstrating their acrobatic skills, and of course to express the way their spirit desires.
Terms and Conditions
ELIGIBILITY
Contestants in the competition must be over 16 years old. Contestants of all nationalities will be accepted. Entry is open to national and international contestants. The competition concerns female pole dancers.
Same tricks in combos but not the repetition of exactly the same combos or same transition are regarded as valid. Each trick should last at least 3 seconds. There will be two poles, a spinning and a static one, 45mm & 4m each one. Each contestant can choose which pole they will perform each combo in. Dry hands, i-tac, liquid chalks are allowed. High heels are allowed.
The contestants will compete in 6 combos in total. All athletes have to pass first from the qualifying round (2combos), these who will qualify they will compete to semi-finals (2 combos) and finals (2 combos).
Each category will have 8 contestants and 4 substitute athletes per category. Deadline of the application & video submission are on 31/12/17. Deadline cancellation of registration is on 10/2/17. For any cancellations after 10/2/17 the contestants will be excluded from the next Pole Battle.
ENTRY DATES
The video & the submission form must be sent from 1/11/2017 to 31/12/2017
The finalists’ results will be announced on 10/01/2018
The judges have the right to change one athlete category if they believe that the level of the tricks-combos that she performs in the video is for higher or lower category.
VIDEO ENTRY GUIDELINES
Videos are required to have 1 combo in a spin pole & 1 combo in a static pole (3 tricks in a combo for int-adv/ 4 tricks in a combo for semipro-pro).
2 combos need : 1 in a spin & 1 a static pole in the same video.
The videos must have been publicly uploaded on VIMEO or YOU TUBE.
The title of the video on You Tube must mention that it is bound for the competition “Submission Video Pole Battle Tricks 2018” Also it must mention the name of the competitor and the title of the division which she wishes to compete in.
For example, Maria Papadopoulou–Pole Battle Tricks 2018 VS (video submission)-Intermediate Category.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY CONTESTANTS
1. Contestants are requested to arrive at the venue of the competition on the day of the rehearsal at the time which has been issued.
2. Contestants must ensure that they have completed their sets of stretching and warming up exercises before the battles.
3. Contestants have to make sure that they have passed the medical tests before the competition and sign in the day of the competition that they are responsible for them to compete.
4. Alcohol consumption or any drag abuse is forbidden before the performance.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS PER CATEGORY
INTERMEDIATE
Contestants who have already taken part in official battles or championships or competitions in the ADVANCED category are not allowed to participate in the INTERMEDIATE category. Contestants must have prepared 2 combos with at least 3 tricks each in order to reach the semifinals. The contestant who reaches the finals will compete in 4 combos, 2 combos for the semifinals and 2 for the finals.
ADVANCED
Contestants who have already taken part in official battles or championships or competitions in the SEMI-PRO category are not allowed to participate in the ADVANCED category. Contestants must have prepared 2 combos with at least 3 tricks each in order to reach the semifinals. The contestant who reaches the finals will compete in 4 combos, 2 combos for the semifinals and 2 for the finals.
SEMI-PRO
Contestants who have already taken part in official battles or championships or competitions in the PROFESSIONAL category are not allowed to participate in the SEMI-PRO category. Contestants must have prepared 2 combos with at least 4 tricks each in order to reach the semifinals. The contestant who reaches the finals will compete in 4 combos, 2 combos for the semifinals and 2 for the finals.
PROFESSIONAL
In the PROFESSIONAL category Contestants must have prepared 2 combos with at least 4 tricks each in order to reach the semifinals. The contestant who reaches the finals will compete in 4 combos, 2 combos for the semifinals and 2 for the finals.
